Doctor's Son 02:04
Standing under the ion skyline See the dead skin from the sun burn It's ok I am a doctor's son He studied medicine And I am working as a waiter serving vanilla coca-cola It's so pretty, it makes my blood sick I'm ready (We are ready to see you now) I'm ready (We need to operate) To radiate disease It's ok I am a doctor's son He studied medicine And now I'm working as a waiter serving vanilla coca-cola

Girl I gotta say something about the heartbeat I miss 'Cause silence adds up to nothing since the last time we kissed I can't change that I'm dead Turned a grave to a bed Memories burnt into ashes, bodies turning to dust An emptiness suffocates me since the last time we touched I can't change that I'm dead Turned a grave to my bed Casting spells on bones of broken glass We move like pieces on boards with broken parts Tombed and buried with golden-plated masks Jewelled encasings that tightened on our grasp Evoking and joking us into a corner Which painted us up to our necks with warnings Trying to speak a last faceless hopeless chant I can't change that I'm dead Turned a grave to my bed I can't change that I'm dead Talk to ghosts in my head

about

A ‘double single’ of two songs I wrote whilst in bands. The first ‘Doctor’s Son’ written when I was about 21 (2003) and moulded by the band I was in at the time called ‘Xyla’. An apocalyptic ditty I wrote after seeing a documentary on the reversal of the earths magnetic poles. Recorded and mixed by myself for a university assignment I did while I was studying at Thames Valley University. The 2nd song ‘I Can’t Change that I’m Dead’ is a song I wrote and recorded in 2017 while in ‘Patsy Clone’. I actually dreamed the chorus, a young Liam Gallagher was sitting in a garden with a guitar singing ‘I can’t chaaaaangggge that I’m deeeeaaaadd’ with his signatory drawl. So I woke up and figured out the chords then gradually built the song around that. 2 songs I can’t take 100% credit for writing as Doctors Son would not have been the same if my 2 band mates hadn’t have sculpted it with me, and ICCTID would not have been written without the help of dream Liam, and wouldn’t have sounded the way it does without working on it with my bandmate George. So thanks to all of them.
